Washington metro launch region

Compare DPC and cash healthcare costs in the DMV

Search provider-published DPC locations and routine-care prices across Washington, DC, suburban Maryland, and Northern Virginia.

Directly’s first location-aware Care Savings market covers the Washington metropolitan area. Enter a supported DMV ZIP code, choose a 10–100 mile radius, and see straight-line distance from your ZIP area to published provider locations. The launch catalog starts with practices in Washington, Lanham, Bethesda, and Rockville and is designed to expand as providers verify their information.

What is live in the first region

The calculator includes real street addresses and Census-geocoded coordinates for Access Health Services, Aurora Primary Care, and Bethesda Modern Primary Care. Provider-published membership or visit prices link to the original source.

How distance is calculated

Directly uses the Census internal point for the ZIP Code Tabulation Area you enter and calculates straight-line distance to each practice. It is useful for screening options, but it is not a driving-time estimate.

How to read the comparison

Provider-published values are labeled separately from Directly educational estimates. A DPC scenario includes membership plus services that may carry a separate member price. An insurance range is not a plan quote.

Why start with one region

A focused market makes verification, provider outreach, local search pages, and patient acquisition measurable. The same schema can expand to another metro without deploying a second frontend or backend.

Common questions

Which DMV ZIP codes are supported?

The first release supports residential ZIP areas across Washington, DC, Montgomery and Prince George’s counties, and the core Northern Virginia suburbs. An unsupported ZIP returns a clear launch-region message.

Are the coordinates exact building entrances?

No. Provider addresses are geocoded against U.S. Census address ranges, so coordinates are approximate points along the street. Confirm the address and directions on the provider’s site.

Does DPC replace health insurance?

Generally no. DPC is designed for primary care access and may reduce routine-care costs, while insurance remains important for emergencies, hospitalization, specialists, and high-cost drugs.
